As the animal pounces and tries to maul everybody in its path, forest officials can be seen on the frightening incident’s video trying to grab hold of it. The leopard swiftly jumps from one man to another as it runs in a bid to escape the clutches of the rescuers. One man is knocked off a ladder after he is bitten by the big cat. The leopard then jumps over a wall and runs down a narrow street towards a gathering crowd. The next person to be mauled is dragged to the ground and bitten while laying in the grass. After a few seconds, the leopard leaps away and finds another victim. The removal of a leopard that is killing people must happen right away. In certain cases, the issue is not completely resolved by doing so. As evidenced by the extensive history of man-eaters in the two neighboring states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, another leopard begins hunting again a few months later. Understanding the root reasons is the only way to end the cycle of man and animal violence. It’s not natural for leopards to attack humans unless they see it necessary. It’s likely this large cat was feeling trapped and terrified.
A Terrifying Situation
Imagine being surrounded by a bunch of predators in an enclosed space. This could cause any animal to freak out and start attacking in order to defend itself and find time to escape. It’s important to mention the footage from this encounter is not for the faint of heart. Here’s what happens next. Unexpectedly, the large cat started leaping off the fence and attacking the people when the authorities attempted to tranquilize it. The tranquilizer pistol was used twice by the forest officials to try to subdue the animal, but they were unsuccessful and the animal is still running loose in the area. To try and catch it, a net was also thrown, but that wasn’t successful either. A crew from Chandigarh was anticipated to assist the rescuers in their endeavors to apprehend the wild leopard. Leopards from the surrounding communities moved in over time, and they still reside in the same farmlands today. They occasionally steal cattle, but they don’t intentionally target people. The only way to discover a long-term solution is to step outside of the box and investigate why certain leopard populations attack humans while others do not.
