At first, we see the pink bear sitting on the shore being lapped by the waves, and then she is carried out to sea and floats rather forlornly before sinking slowly and coming to rest on the ocean floor. As luck would have it, she is directly outside an octopus’ lair and that is when the fun begins!

Curious and Clever Creatures

Octopuses are so damn clever! They are found in oceans all over the world and usually live a solitary life feeding off crabs, lobsters, and crustaceans that they find on the sea floor. These guys are highly curious about the world around them and like to check out all new objects that they come across. The octopus has a larger brain than any other invertebrate and has neurons in all of their arms. This means that their arms can operate independently but they also send and receive information from the larger brain at the center of the body. There are countless videos and accounts of an octopus figuring things out and exploring its environment. They really are the brain boxes of the deep!

Octopus and Teddy Bear Love Story

In the crystal clear water, we see the octopus emerge from their hiding place and make their first move. It is absolutely mesmerizing to see this incredible creature gently reach out its arms and stroke them across the pink bear in a kind of loving caress. This soon turns into a full-on embrace as the octopus wraps all eight arms around the bear and maneuvers them both in the direction of the cave. Sadly, this is a love that was not meant to be and there is no happy ending. Because teddy is quite an irregular shape, she will not fit into the lair and so the octopus releases her and she gently drifts away.
