You get a few more scenes from this environment, where crocodiles are walking and swimming about in the water. You see something floating in the water and it’s not clear what it is, but the caption lets you know it’s a dead cow. Several crocodiles swim around it, ready to feast. The crocs move in almost comically, their heads barely visible above the water. These are some sneaky modern dinosaurs! You watch the moment when a croc takes its first bite of the cow. You can see that there’s another in the vicinity, waiting for its turn. Then, you get a view of Maximus. He’s in the water so you can’t appreciate his size just yet. The floating cow is moving right in front of him, taunting him to come and get a taste. No matter that some other crocs have already claimed it. There are a few quiet moments in the water when you’re not entirely sure what’s about to happen next. At one point, you see a croc swimming away from the cow as if it has already spotted trouble. Then you see Maximus go in for a violent bite. There is splashing and bubbling just around the cow. Whereas the other crocs seemed to have an unspoken understanding that this was a shared meal, for Maximus, sharing is simply not in his vocabulary. Another croc lingered for a bit too long and Maximus let it know that it would not be enjoying any more of this buffet for today. The other croc doesn’t put up a fight and just quickly swims away. Maximus is left alone with the meal that very well could have fed more than one. As his body appears a bit more out of the water, you realize the other crocs were wise in their decision to get out of there. Maximus is huge! The video ends with another panoramic view of the environment in Western Australia.
