Mansur is a large grizzly bear that has quite the following. Mansur was first found at the Orlovka Airfield in Russia’s Tver Region some time ago. When he was found, he was only a cub. Sadly, Mansur seemed to be all alone, and his mother was either gone or dead. Instead of chasing the tiny bear away, however, the workers at the airfield decided they were going to adopt him. Mansur is short for “teddy bear” in the Altai language, and the name seemed to fit! As a general rule, snuggling up to a bear can be quite dangerous, but this little fluffball was raised by hand and developed a strong bond with his humans. Of all the bonds, however, none were closer than Mansur and Andrei Ivanov. Ivanov hand-fed and cared for Mansur when he was a cub. Soon, the bond was unbreakable. Soon, it was clear that Mansur was in need of a more permanent home. After a round of donations from views online, a $63,000 open-air enclosure was soon built! As you can imagine, Mansur absolutely loved it. Even more, his best friend Ivanov, would visit him every day and make sure he was ok. In a recent video, we get to see Mansur and a new gift given to him by his “dad”, Ivanov! It’s essentially a large hammock that is clearly designed for a bear, not a human. Funnily, it’s bright pink, which goes even further to make Mansur seem like the most non-threatening grizzly bear to ever live. It took some time, but Mansur slowly started warming up to it. Instead of lounging in it like you’re supposed to, however, Mansur seemed content to use it as a fancy back scratcher. Thankfully, Ivanov soon shows up to show him how to use it. Once Ivanov hops in it, Mansur is soon to follow (after getting plenty of head scratches, of course). Within moments, the two are enjoying their time in the hammock, snuggling. Even more, once Ivanov leaves, Mansur decides to keep playing on his own! Despite being in the middle of the woods, even Mansur the bear can appreciate a little “island living” and swinging in his hammock! Make sure that you check out the video below!
