Age and Verification

Juan’s Life
Juan was the ninth child out of ten to his parents Edelmira Mora and Eutiquio del Rosario Perez Mora who lived in El Cobre in 1909. In 1914, Juan and his family moved to a village in San Jose de Bolivar in Los Pajuiles and at only 5 years old, Juan started to work alongside his dad and brothers to harvest coffee and sugar cane on the farm that they had purchased. He created a wooden mill known as a trapiche with his brother Miguel to increase the agricultural production on the farm. He only started school at 10 years old for five months before his teacher become sick, but the teacher, fortunately, left him a book that taught him how to read and write. Later in 1948, Juan become a sheriff in Caricuena for around ten years while still working on the farm. Years later when he moved to work on his brother Miguel’s farm, he met a woman named Ediofina del Rosario Garcia. He married Ediofina and they were together for 60 years before she passed in 1997. After he married Ediofina, they moved to Francisco de Miranda before they saved enough to buy a farm in Caserio Caricuena. Juan and Ediofina then went on to have eleven children with Ediofina, a total of five daughters and six sons. Six of Juan’s children are still alive today, his three daughters Elena, Nelyda, and Mary, and his three sons Ysabelino, Andronico, and Angel. Juan is a man of faith, and he is passionate about God and his family both of whom he loves very much. His daughter Nelyda Perez had said that her father is quite healthy and still has an excellent memory and no diseases to this day. When Juan celebrated his birthday in May of 2019, he become the first male supercentenarian that is from Venezuela. His 100th birthday was a special celebration, and certainly a memorable milestone in Juan’s long life. Juan now lives in San Jose de Bolivar in Venezuela at 113th years old.
